Windoze XP og patcher
Noen som vet hvordan man kan lagre alle feilrettingene
på en eksisterende Win XP-installasjon så man slipper å laste ned dem igjen...?
Jeg skal til med en re-install av Win XP så jeg lurte litt på det.

Brukes for å legge til Service pack's og HotFixes til install DVD.
Enkleste er å ta noen google søk, og gå til de sidene som "spesialiserer" seg på sånt.

Men ihvbertfall så er forsatt listene over alle hotfixes enda der, og mange tips/trix ang. instalere og minst like viktig hva IKKE å instalere!!
Jeg for min del vil nå heller bidra så godt jeg kan til at Microsoft går så inni ræva på dunken! ALT for å gjøre salget deres så lite som mulig. Spesielt siden det nå helt plutselig har blitt "forbudt" å laste ned oppgradering fra andre steder en fra M$ egne dritt sider!

We have no grounds to challenge the decision by Microsoft.
I'd like to thank the whole AutoPatcher team for their continued work, unfortunately none of the team is online, but they have been contacted via the AutoPatcher.com website by Microsoft Legal.

Jada, og XP SP1 ville også gjøre XP dobbelt så rask,,. uuuups.. Nei det ble vist SP2 som skulle gjøre XP mer en dobbelt så rask, mye mer sikker og mer stabil, nei vent nå.. Det er vist i SP3 alt dette kommer...
Fortsatt den uberørte eier av et stjålet Windows Operativsystem UTEN en eneste SP instalert!
Ble møkk lei alt som het ServicePacks når jeg kjørte Win2000.. Det eneste de gjorde var at man måtte sette igang og luke ut alle de nye bugs som kom hver gang man oppgraderte, også tette alle hull som ble introdusert med hver SP som SP'en liksom skulle tette... Jupps. M$ PR avdeling fortjener Oscar!
Det eneste jeg vet SP3 skal innholde er at det blir enda mer umulig å hente ned "hot-fixes" uten valid lisens (Som du foresten gjør uvalid vær gang du bytter noe slags hardware i PC'en din) (valid ?? Uvalid?? Gyldig, Ugyldig mener jeg)
Lurer på når første Bil produsent begynenr med samme piss som M$..
Du kjøper deg ny bil, men før du får lov å kjøre med bilen må du ringe bil-fabrikante og gi fra deg en 14 nummers lang kode hvor du da får tilbake en kode på 15-20 tegn som du må skrive inn i bilens Databox....... Urimelig? Nei, hvorfor det? Du må jo gjøre akkurat det der før du får lov å bruke Operativ systemet DITT som du har betalt massssssssse penger for....
Ett bitte lite så kalt lys punkt med M$, er at de nå fjerner Vista's "kill switch" tillegg..

Overview
A blocking tool is available for organizations that would like to temporarily prevent installation of Windows Service Pack updates through Windows Update. This tool can be used with:
Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (valid through March, 2008)
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (valid for 12 months following general availability)
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (valid for 12 months following general availability)
This toolkit contains three components. All of them function primarily to set or clear a specific registry key that is used to detect and block download of Windows Service Packs from Windows Update. You only need to use the component which best serves your organization’s computer management infrastructure.
A Microsoft-signed executable
A script
An ADM template
The executable creates a registry key on the computer on which it is run that blocks or unblocks (depending on the command-line option used) the delivery of a Windows Service Pack to that computer through Windows Update. The key used is: HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUp date.
When the '/B' command line option is used, the key value name 'DoNotAllowSP' is created and its value set to 1. This value blocks delivery of a Service Pack to the computer through Automatic Update or Windows Update.
When the '/U' command line option is used, the previously created registry value that temporarily blocked the delivery of a Windows Service Pack to the computer through Automatic Update or Windows Update is removed. If the value does not exist on the computer on which it is run, no action is taken.
The script does the same thing as the executable, but allows you to specify the remote machine name on which to block or unblock delivery of Windows Service Packs.
Note that the executable and script have been tested only as a command-line tool and not in conjunction with other systems management tools or remote execution mechanisms.
The ADM template allows administrators to import group policy settings to block or unblock delivery of Windows Service Packs into their Group Policy environment. Administrators can then use Group Policy to centrally execute the action across systems in their environment.
Please note that this toolkit will not prevent the installation of the service pack from CD/DVD, or from the stand-alone download package. This simply prevents the Windows Service Pack from being delivered over Windows Update.
